Air Transportation
While western Montana may seem a world away from the hectic
pace of life, it’s a reasonable flight from most major
cities. Our two international airports — Glacier Park
International (GPI), between Columbia Falls, Kalispell and
Whitefish, and Missoula International (MSO) in Missoula
— welcome visitors from California, the East Coast,
Florida, Texas, Denver, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Seattle
and most other hubs. Currently, the following airlines serve
Glacier Country:

Rail Transportation
Amtrak operates daily from Seattle and Portland (west),
and Minneapolis and Chicago (east) to Whitefish, Montana.

Highway Transportation
A well-maintained highway system anchored by Interstate
90 running east and west through Glacier Country makes driving

rentals are available at airports and in towns throughout
the region through Avis, Budget, Cruise America (RVs), Dollar,
Enterprise, Hertz, National and Rent-A-Wreck, among others.
In addition, several motorcoach companies offer tours of
the region.
Border Crossing and Foreign Exchange
International visitors crossing from Glacier National Park
in the United States into Waterton Lakes National Park on
the Canadian side are encouraged to call the Immigration
Call Center at 888-242-2100 or click on the Web site at
www.cic.gc.ca for details specific to their country of origin.
Foreign currency may be exchanged at a variety of banks
in the region.
