A division point along the Northern Pacific Railroad, Dixon sits on the Flathead Indian Reservation along the Flathead River. Watch wildlife at the nearby 18,500-acre Bison Range, home to bison, black bear, elk, deer and more than 200 species of birds. You haven't tasted Montana until you've tasted a Dixon Melon, which you can find at farmers markets, namely Missoula and Whitefish, and also some at some grocery stores in the region.
